Humming Birds

Author: Tyron Auras

Humming birds are small colourful birds with extra-long beaks.

And with small I mean really small. The smallest humming bird which is called the honeybee humming bird could fit in the eye of an Ostrich and fly around in it.

They live in every Habitat that contains flowers because they live on their Nectar in which their long beaks come in handy.

By the way did you think humming birds flapped their wings up and down? So not true! In fact they flap their wings in an eight shape and so quickly that they make a humming noise.

And that’s where they got their name, the 'humming birds'.
