Have we deserted the Gods of Olympos?
Is that why the East lies under Arean curse.
And why Bacchians grow ever more perverse?
As when ancients worshipped them, they fuss
Over acts be they small and or treasonous.
The Muses whisper their enchanted verse,
While the rich plunder from Demeter's purse.
Is all of Man to be judged by Aeacus?
Perhaps it be true we are all to wander,
In the furthest reaches of Tartarus.
Or some could still enter Persephone's realm,
That place where went all heroes of yonder.
Which be blocked to those men still barbarous,
Those who destroy the order of Gala's realm
